Here are some photos of the group of Boys at the Light House.
We have several groups of kids come in the morning and afternoons, from ages 6 to 13.
We also have groups from schools come too. They are involved in swimming lessons, soccer lessons,
games, arts and crafts, bible studies and other learning lessons.

So its been over a month since my last post. Many different things have happened in ministry and life here. I have been at a new location for the last 2 weeks. The place is called the light house its sits on top of a hill over looking part of the city and a surrounding favala community. It is really peaceful up here and a great place to pray and seek God.I have been involved in helping and leading a group of 13 and 14 year old boys. It has really been good to be able to get to know them a little and speak into their lives. I have got to teach them a little English , share some English music with them and share my personal testimony with them. We have also been having bible study with them and playing soccer, basketball and other games.
In the afternoons I go with Dave and Martin 2 staff workers to pray and visit people in the community. This really cool experience to meet and befriend people who really need Jesus.
We have chances to speak into peoples lives and pray for their lives and needs.
Very cool!

Hi All !

Well its been a couple weeks since my last post on here.
I have pretty busy since coming back from the Carnaval at Ouro Preto .
We have started with our groups of kids at the Rock House.
We have groups of children come to our place from the surrounding slum
to learn about Jesus, to have community, to help them with their homework,
play games, learn how to swim in the new pool and to have godly encouraging
influence in their life. We also visit the families homes of the children during the week to
build relationship, to counsel and pray with them.
On the weekends I have been also involved with a team to have an impact outreach to different
communities. On one weekend in the local Favala we had a hip hop team come and rap and a team from Finland perform dramas accompanied by some preaching. We also had several people talking and befriending people and sharing the Word of Christ message and love for them.
It was a great time. I really enjoyed the rap team, great bunch of guys lifting up the name of Jesus. Last Friday I attended a prayer meeting in a small church. It was a great time praying and worshiping God. We prayed also for the persecuted Christians in different parts of the world.
One thing a young girl said was " When a christian is hurting in another nation we should care and carry them in prayer because they are a part of us, we are from the same Body and we need to take care for our Body and pray for them." So true we are more than just Christians in our church, city or country we are part of the global Body of Jesus Christ. One Faith one Family One Body in Jesus Christ who is our Head. Please pray for the Christians all over the World.

We went out after to an area called Andradas where we ministered to kids who live on the street.
We played football and Uno with some. I got to talk to a few boys and we were able to speak life into them and pray for them and hug them. I was with some young men from the masters comission,( a ministry school connected to YWAM). One of the young men was translating for me. He had told me that he himself ran away from home when he was young and lived on the streets for 3 years. He ran away because of being severely beaten several times from family members.
He met some christian people who took him into a YWAM shelter.
He was a success story and there are many more stories like his, where boys get rescued off the brutal streets. The YWAM ministry also works with the families of the street kids to try and reconcile and minister to the family and kids.
Well it has been a very diverse experience so far and a new adventure every week.
Bless you all and thanks for reading.
Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement.
All in The Lord our Savior Jesus Christ
To Him be Glory.
Thank you Jesus for all your Love and Grace

From Friday to Wednesday my friend Thiago and I joined a team in Ouro Preto, where there
was a Carnaval festival going on.
This city is a very old Potuguese City a few hundred years old.
Carnaval is a place where a lot people come to party and drink and celebrate a pagan celebration.
So for 10 years YWAM has been taking a team to Ouro Preto to be a light in Christ to
a dark place. This was an amazing experience for me and all the team of 400 to 500 Christians that went to minister to around 50000 people. We have been welcomed by the local government to come and minister the Good News of Jesus Love to people in the city.
We had a marching parade where we played drums and sang to the crowds that Jesus Loves you, come to Jesus come to Jesus, Jesus is good, Jesus is King. The crowds joined in and sang with us and really received us, it was amazing!!
At night time we would go on the streets and minister and share about Jesus to teenagers, children and adults. We had a church where we would invite people to receive free counseling for
there life. Counseling is a big thing in Brazil. Many people received Jesus Christ as their Savior on the streets and in the counselling. We also had dance and drama teams performing on a main street where many people watched and were moved by the experience and connected with ywam ministers. In the basement of the church we had worship and prayer to God, going on all
night into the morning this was so powerful!!!!! The fire of the prayer and worship really opened up God to move through us to minister. Many of us were deeply impacted in the worship and prayer. The outreach was called Impact by the way.
It was really cool for me too because I got to share my personal story of How Jesus saved and delivered me from a destructive life. I had translaters who conveyed my story. myself and a friend personally got to lead one young guy to the Lord. And several others that We had spoke to received counselling and some received Christ. Praise the living Savior Jesus Christ!
We can safely say that we saw hundreds receive counseling and saw probably in the hundreds receive Christ.
What an awesome time in Christ for us all!
Bless you in Jesus Grace and Father's Love
